Programming Tracks in plain English
Standard editing workflow for all of the units:
Track Writing is always in overwrite mode, you will be editing the existing Bars of the Track. The workflow is like this: in STOP mode, you first select the "Track Write" mode, then you choose the Track Number you want to edit. Then you press RUN and you enter the Patterns into the Bars of the Track one by one.
There are some differencies between the 303/606 and the 707/727.
303/606 | - just like the Patterns, the Tracks can not be cleared. - the unit always plays in loop mode: after the last Bar, playing continues from the first Bar. - the desired last Bar has to be marked with a Da Capo ("jump to Bar 1") marker. - the Bars after the last Bar always exist, but will not be played. - one Bar can be marked with a Del Signo ("jump to this Bar") marker. |
707/727 | - Tracks can be cleared - the unit stops playing after the last programmed Bar |
